Dr. Peter Field is a general adult psychiatrist.

Dr. Frank New

Dr Frank New graduated from the University of Queensland 1975 with Second Class Honours , then completed psychiatry training to gain a Fellowship of the College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) in 1986. He was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) in 1999. He established this private practice in association with Dr Peter Field in 1986.

Dr New's office practice is in General Adult Psychiatry, with a special interest in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, particularly Pain Medicine. He also provides Independent Medico-Legal opinions. He has been as a Visiting Consultant Psychiatrist and Specialist Pain Medicine Physician to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Professor Tess Cramond Multidisciplinary Pain Centre since 1986, and also consults at private general hospitals, most frequently Holy Spirit Northside.

Other professional activities include Senior Clinical Lecturer UQ, teaching at RBWH and medical CPD meetings. He served in several positions with the Faculty of Pain Medicine, including as Examiner, Assessor, and Board Member.

He has an ongoing interest in doctors health, and served as President, Doctors Health Advisory Service of Queensland (DHAS Q), and Chairman, Queensland Doctors Health Programme until 8.2017.

Dr New prefers to offer an approach which includes consideration of the many factors which predispose to personal distress and illness, including lifestyle, personal, family and social stressors, as well as physical disorders. It has been demonstrated for a long time that management which attend to each of these offers the best outcomes.

A recent development has been the capacity to offer Telepsychiatry services for those in rural and remote areas. Further information about arranging Telepsychiatry consultations is available from the reception staff.

Dr. Georgiana Antoce

Dr Antoce is a consultant psychiatrist with more than 10 years experience in private practice. Her area of interest is in general adult psychiatry - first presentations, consultation-liaison and assessments, psychotherapy for mood and trauma-related disorders, adolescents and trans cultural psychiatry. In addition she is an accredited Independent Medical Examiner, PIRS training, having a side interest in medico-legal assessments.
She has admitting/ consulting rights at Belmont Private and Holy Spirit Hospital. Recently she has completed leadership training in Balint group processes and is open to co-ordinating groups for interested GPs. Dr Antoce is a Senior Lecturer with UQ and has been involved with teaching/ mentorship of students and psychotherapy supervision for registrars.

Dr. John Davies is a general adult psychiatrist.
He is Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland

Dr. James Wright

Dr Wright works in general adult psychiatry.

He has worked at 15 Wallace Street for many years. Prior to that he had experience in a public psychiatry in Tasmania and Nambour. His interests are Anxiety, Depression and Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.


Dr. George Bruxner - General Adult Psychiatrist

Senior Specialist/VMO Redcliffe-Caboolture Mental Health Service specialising in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry - attending to the mental health needs of the physically unwell. Long established small private practice providing care to adults with general mental health concerns.

Recently relocated from Everton Park to 15 Wallace St , Chermside.

Dr Archana Khunteta is a general adult psychiatrist.

She has been working as a consultant psychiatrist in Australia since the beginning of 2008.  She worked at Redcliffe Caboolture Mental Health Service as a psychiatrist until the end of 2016.  During this period she also held the position of Academic Head, training medical students posted there.

She originally trained in India for her Undergraduate (MBBS) and Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD in Psychiatry) prior to moving to Australia in 2004.

She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in February 2008.

She has a special interest in Perinatal Psychiatry and cross-cultural psychiatric issues.


Dr Sanjeev Ranjan

Dr Sanjeev Ranjan is a General Adult Psychiatrist, and looks after people with mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and neuropsychiatric disorders. He has a special interest in the treatment of OCD with medications and CBT (exposure and ritual prevention therapy).

Dr Ranjan also offers Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for mood disorders and anxiety disorders. He is also trained in the assessment of permanent impairment (GEPI-2) and offers medico-legal opinions through Independent Medical Examination.

He has an interest in liaison with General Practitioners. Dr Ranjan also has consulting rooms and admitting rights at Pine Rivers Private Hospital.

He is accredited to administer ECT and TMS at Pine Rivers Private Hospital.

Amanda Hefez

Amanda offers counselling and therapy for adults, couples, families, adolescents and children. She is a registered psychologist, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is an Accredited Supervisor of Intern Psychologists. Amanda's philosophy is to create a safe supportive environment to help people work through concerns, problems and challenges. Amanda has many years of extensive experience providing therapy covering a range of issues including ; depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, addiction, emotional wellbeing, work related problems, couple relationships and family relationships.

Amanda works within the frameworks of solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based practices including acceptance and commitment therapy and emotion focused therapy.
Amanda's counselling services are eligible for Medicare and Private Health Insurance Rebates. Amanda receives referrals from medical practitioners, as well as self-referrals.

Kate MacDonald

Kate has been practicing as a registered psychologist since 1993. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Psychology, a Graduate Certificate of Management and a Master of Philosophy. She is an experienced CGT practitioner and has conducted research into the provision of CBT for Depression and Anxiety within the public mental health sector. She is also an experienced DBT practitioner with over 7 years of practice in this area.

She completed the DBT Intensive Training in 2005. She is a founding member of the DBT Program at the RBWH and has been both an individual therapist and skills group trainer during that time. Kate is currently the coordinator for the DBT programs run at both the RBWH and TPCH. She is also an experienced practice supervisor.
